What do people like to do on their birthday?

Is it like this for everyone? Do you just want a normal day, just the nicer version?

I had a great breakfast, a really great lunch, and I'm about to have an amazing dinner, all with my wife. And that's about the extent of what I "want" to do.

The rest is pretty normal, like most of my other days. I went to the gym, ran a couple miles (also with my wife) and spent some time in a coffeeshop. I watched a dumb, bad movie.

I also did all these things a few Saturdays ago. For no other reason than I wanted to spend my time with my wife.

It feels a little cleaner on your birthday, at least for me. Like you're not really trading for anything by doing whatever you're doing. But it feels really calm, and regular.

I rather like it.
